\ud83c\udf0d REDAS v2.0: Advancing earthquake preparedness across the Black Sea Basin<\/p>\n

Originally developed through the REDACt project, the Rapid Earthquake Damage Assessment System (REDAS) is being significantly upgraded under REDA_NEXt.<\/p>\n

The new version introduces region-specific fragility curves and ground-motion models, improved site-effect and secondary-hazard analysis, integration of local monitoring data, automated data checks, and high-resolution hazard and building-risk maps. These advances will support faster, more reliable and transparent decision-making following an earthquake.<\/p>\n

REDA_NEXt (BSB00942) project partners include International Hellenic University<\/a> (project Coordinator), Istanbul Technical University<\/a>, Universitatea OVIDIUS din Constanta<\/a> and Democritus University of Thrace – (D.U.Th.)<\/a> (Civil Engineering Department, DUTh<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The REDA_NEXt project (BSB942)<\/strong> is co-funded by the European Union (EU) through the INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme<\/strong>. This support underlines the EU\u2019s commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, sustainable development, and improved civil protection strategies in this vital cross-border area.<\/p>\n

Project Budget: \u20ac499,511.03<\/strong>, of which \u20ac449,559.92<\/strong> are European (Interreg) funds.<\/p>\n
