The Head of Department is elected for a two-year term.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The Department Secretariat is staffed by two (2) administrative employees: one serving as Head of the Secretariat and one responsible for Student Affairs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The Secretariat handles all student and administrative matters. Its responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"[li_&amp;]:mb-0 [li_&amp;]:mt-1 [li_&amp;]:gap-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3\">\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">student registration,<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">maintenance of student records, including grades and scholarship information,<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">issuance of certificates and diplomas,<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">preparation of individual course registration forms, transcripts, and student status certificates,<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">issuance of official statements for any lawful purpose,<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">updating student health booklets,<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">semesterly re-registration,<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\">suspension (interruption) of studies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The offices of the Head of Department and the Secretariat are located on the ground floor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.civil.ihu.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Serres-campus-map-full-7-1024x724.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Administration Building<\/a> (the first building on the right upon entering the Serres University Campus).<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Students are served on all working days between <strong>11:00 and 13:00<\/strong>.
